What lives where in ProjectConcert

ETSU's ITS support page describes ProjectConcert as a cloud platform where students upload required documents, log clinical hours and track progress, with faculty and preceptors checking, approving and reporting on those entries. The College's October 2024 guides show where each task sits, mapped below. The detail pages cover submitting a preceptor, hour logs and the self-scheduler and preceptor evaluations.

Signing in and getting access

The student door is secure.projectconcert.com/etsu, opened with the same ETSU account that runs D2L. Your first access follows the clinical health requirements email from the Office of Student Services, so treat that message as the signal to open the Clinical Requirements tab and start uploading.

When a sign-in fails, ETSU's guide says to try the same credentials in D2L first. If D2L fails too, ETSU account trouble goes to the ITS Help Desk. If D2L works and ProjectConcert still refuses you, raise it with the Office of Student Services, which starts student access. The College's Helpful Links page carries the ProjectConcert sign-in link and every tutorial guide.

Preceptors get their own access. Each approved preceptor is emailed a username and sign-in instructions in the Preceptor Welcome Email, which comes from the Graduate Clinical Placement Coordinator.

Your compliance file comes first

Most students meet ProjectConcert through the compliance file, well before any preceptor is involved. A widget lists every outstanding requirement with its status and due date, and those due dates are set requirement by requirement inside ProjectConcert rather than on a published calendar. ETSU's nursing pages name no separate compliance-tracking vendor, so this file is the record sites and faculty rely on.

Two other readers use the same file. The Office of Practice checks accepted students' ProjectConcert records and reports anything missing before a rotation at one of the College's nurse-led clinics. The Student Passport lets you hand an outside clinical site a clean export of your record. The requirement list itself, item by item, is on the clinical health requirements page.

How a graduate placement moves through the system

Every graduate placement follows the same route through ProjectConcert, from the entry you file to the evaluation at the end of the term.

You file the preceptor and site.A "Preceptor & Clinical Agency Onboarding" entry under Experience carries the completed form and the preceptor's CV to the graduate clinical coordinator you select.
The entry is approved or rejected.A rejection arrives by email with its reason in the Comment column; you correct the entry and submit it again.
The pre-clinical conditions close.According to the Preceptor Intent Form, Project Concert tracks progress on four pre-clinical conditions: faculty sign-off, credential verification, a signed contract and your own requirements. The approval page explains each.
Your preceptor gets access.The Preceptor Welcome Email reaches the approved preceptor with sign-in details.
You schedule, log and evaluate.Clinical days go into the Schedule tab, hours and the patient journal into Experience, and evaluation links go out from the course dashboard.

ETSU publishes no deadline for filing the entry and no lead time for contracts. Treat the entry as the start of the approval clock, and file it as soon as a preceptor agrees.

What your preceptor does in ProjectConcert

Your preceptor's part of ProjectConcert is smaller than yours but carries weight. ETSU's ITS page says preceptors review and approve submissions and can run reports, so your logged hours reach them for review and your evaluations depend on their access working. Have your preceptor test their access in the first days of the rotation, while a problem is still easy to fix.

The College's preceptor page and preceptor handbook are no longer published, which leaves the welcome email as the one preceptor-facing step ETSU documents. Tell your preceptor to expect it after approval, to keep it, and to watch the same inbox for the evaluation link you send later through "Schedule User Evaluation." ProjectConcert next to D2L, GoldLink and your ETSU email

ProjectConcert covers the clinical side only. Course content and syllabi live in D2L. Registration, grades and fees run through GoldLink, which ETSU plans to replace with MyETSU in October 2027. Degree Works holds your program of study, and your @etsu.edu Office 365 address is the official channel between you, faculty and staff.

That last point matters for clinicals. Rejection notices from ProjectConcert arrive by email, and anything you settle with course faculty about hours or a preceptor is best kept in that inbox where it can be found again. If a syllabus in D2L and a ProjectConcert screen seem to ask for different things, ask course faculty which one governs. The student systems page walks through each system and what it holds.

What is the ETSU ProjectConcert web address?

ETSU nursing students use secure.projectconcert.com/etsu, entering their ETSU username. The College of Nursing's Helpful Links page links there too, alongside the tutorial guides for requirements, preceptor entries, schedules, hour logs and evaluations. Bookmark it; you will use it every clinical term.

When do new ETSU nursing students get ProjectConcert access?

It opens after the Office of Student Services emails you about clinical health requirements. Once it arrives, open the Clinical Requirements tab, note each due date and begin uploading, since faculty, the Office of Practice and clinical sites all read that file. If that email never arrives, write to the College's Office of Student Services.

Does ETSU nursing use another app for clinical logs or compliance?

No other platform is named. ETSU's nursing pages send every clinical task, from requirements and preceptor entries to logs and evaluations, through ProjectConcert, and they name no separate compliance vendor. A clinical site may still run its own onboarding for students, so ask each site what it needs in addition to your Student Passport.

What is the ProjectConcert Student Passport?

It is a report that exports your compliance record from ProjectConcert as a PDF or a spreadsheet. ETSU's October 2024 guide presents it as the way to share your clinical requirements with a site. Run a fresh one after each new upload is accepted, so the site always sees your current record rather than an old copy.

Can my preceptor see my whole ProjectConcert record?

ETSU's ITS page gives preceptors a reviewing and approving role for student submissions, but ETSU's guides do not list exactly which screens a preceptor can open. If your preceptor needs to see something specific, such as a requirement a site asked about, ask the graduate clinical coordinator how to share it.
